We put this in our finished recreation room and it looks nice. It is an attractive piece of furniture. It is not as fast as one would expect, but, that could be due in part to the foosballs that came with the table, which are misshapen and do not roll very well. The table surface is wood and that may contribute to it as well. The rods are solid and move smoothly. Two of our rod handles, however, did not tighten, which is annoying. Overall, if you are looking for an attractive furniture type game table - as opposed to a sporty style you would find in a bar - this is it.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
