    I bought this for my grandaughter about four years ago and it is still used several times a week. When searching for a Christmas gift for my grandson, a light went off when I visited my grandaughter and was asked to play air hockey with her! So I ordered another one for my grandson. We set the air hockey game up on Christmas day (took ten minutes) and all other toys were tossed to the side. The adults begged to play and was rewarded occasionally. The construction is fantastic-the proof being my grandaughters four year old carrom air hockey game. Very easy to store. No batteries!!!

      I just bought this tabletop for my 8-year-old after ruling out the much more expensive and larger air hockey tables. For the price, this is a great game. Our teenagers (and adults) enjoy it just as much as the younger kids. It fits on any table and can be easily stored away when not in use. I like the look and feel of the sturdy wood composite construction, and it came mostly assembled - just screw on the plastic corner legs and the baskets and you're ready to play. My only complaint is about the plastic baskets: they are too close to the edge of the table so sometimes the puck gets partially stuck when going through the goal slot; also the scoring numbers on the side of the basket are too light to read; and the little plastic score pointer broke when I tried to snap it on. But those are all minor issues that the kids don't even notice and it doesn't detract from their enjoyment of the game. I called Hayneedle to see if they could send me a new pointer and although they were unable to replace the plastic piece, they offered to send me a whole new unit which I didn't think was worth the trouble so they quickly and cordially offered to give me a partial refund to compensate, which was very fair. We expect to get hours and hopefully years of enjoyment out of this purchase.

      The price is good, but you get what you pay for. The surface is pretty thin particle board, and it's not completely level, but curved, which doesn't provide a "level playing field", pun intended. I ordered this for my 10 and 12 year old kids and they love it. The Hayneedle expedited shipping was great, reliable and the box arrived in great condition. It said on the outside "air hockey", so if you order this as a surprise for someone in your household, make sure to intercept the delivery before they see the box.
