I am very pleased with the table with the exception of its height. My wife & I are 5'4 and 5'6" tall and the table, at the height of 31 inches, is much too high to play comfortably. Gametable height should be 27 inches. In order to use the table comfortably, I had to cut three inches off the base pedestal and cut and re-thread the rods identified as "G" on the assembly instructions. I would not recommend this table for people under 6 ft. 4 inches in height.

Love the size of the board and the big chess pieces that come with it make playing more fun. The design of this product makes it easy to adapt to your room. For example, you can use it as is and sit chairs underneath for easy play, or you can do what I did and take out one section of the center post and add a plant mover under the base (the one I bought at [@] fitted perfectly) and move it easily from one area of the room to another. By making the table shorter my wife and I can sit catty-corner on our sofa and love seats and play looking more comfortably across the board. This product is beautifully constructed and made to last; the drawers are nice and big and glide smoothly. Needless to say I'm well pleased with my purchase!

We are remodeling a large living room and this game table is a great addition to the new family friendly room. The game table is beautiful and functional at a great price. The assembly was easy and took only 20 minutes. The 2 drawers stick a little, but has no effect visually.

Easy to put together.Looks good. I'm using another set of chess pieces as this table has 2 inch squares and can take larger pieces than come with the table. I'm using the table pieces with an 18 inch board. Works great! Must recomend to chess players.

I was surprised that it did not come with enough pieces to play backgammon. It comes with teh small round pieces but only enough for checkers (not enough for backgammon). The quality of the table is commensurate with the price (just okay).
