I really like the board however, the bristle tech feature is not the best in my opinion. This would be a perfect dart board if it came with the option to select the bristle tech board (for those who like throwing steel tips), or the plastic grid type board that you find in your local bar (for those who like to throw with the soft tip darts). Even though the bristle tech allows you to throw using either the steel tips or the soft, after a while the soft tips begin to "bounce out" on almost every throw. The steel tips also "bounce out" after a lot of usage, just not as much as the soft tips. I have tried adjusting the way I throw, thinking this may be a factor, but it didn't seem to help. If you are like me and throw with soft tips alot, you will probably prefer the typical board that you find at the local bar as "bounce outs" are not a huge factor. However, as I stated earlier, this board is great because it has a lot of features that make up for the "bounce outs", but for it to be perfect it should have the option of which type of board you want, or at least a replacement board.

Got a similar style for Christmas. Had it 2 weeks and the buttons quit working. Took it back to store. Went to another store and purchased this one and first day started with changing players without pushing any buttons, then when you pushed the start button for next player in cricket the board would totally reset or the buttons would freeze and you would have to reset the game. 3 times today we couldn't finish a complete game of cricket. Just want a board that stays working for the price.

    I got this gift for my husband and we both love it. We lost power with the hurricane and we just killed the time by playing darts. Even though it didn't have power we just kept our own score. I just look at the cabinet on the wall and it makes me want to play. I wasn't sure about the purchase at first but I am really glad I decided to go through with it. The only thing I haven't found out yet is whether you can fix the score if it bounces out. Sometime not often the dart will bounce out but still count it. I believe there is a way I just haven't read up on it yet. All in all a good time and worth it!

      Nice board but not perfect

            I've only had the board for a couple of weeks and have played a couple of dozen games on it. The metal darts work pretty well, about 2 in 10 bounce out. It seems some areas of the board are more prone to bounce outs than others. Some areas of the board don't score the majority of the time when you hit them. Parts of the triple ring seem particularly prone to not scoring. It's a bit inconsistent. I found that if the dart sticks but doesn't score, you can usually just push in on the dart and it will score. Soft tip darts bounce out more, so I don't bother using them. The cricket scoring board marks light up inconsistent, so sometimes it's hard to tell how many hits you have on a given number. Mounting was easy. Not sure why they didn't attach the board to the cabinet in the factory. The wires are attached to the cabinet in the factory, so why not install the (4) screws that hold the board to the cabinet. Not a big deal, just silly I think. If it weren't for the inconsistent scoring I would give the board higher marks. I may send this one back and try another. The darts are much easier to remove from the bristle tech board than from plastic electronic boards that I have used. The dart hits are quieter as well. I do like these characteristics about the board.
